In December 2019, DRI Tunisia published "The effects of the absence of the Constitutional Court during the 2014-2019 legislature", which analysed the negative impact of the delay in the implementation of the court. This impacted not only the coherence of the legal order but also the functioning of Tunisia's political system.
DRI had identified pitfalls and the risks of political and institutional crises that could be legally insurmountable in the absence of the constitutional judge. This is illustrated by the current political and institutional crisis in Tunisia.
